Bermuda Microsystems Group started with the sale of its first Dell computer in 1992. Today Bermuda Microsystems Group is the preeminent local tech support company for DellEMC, RSA, Lenovo and Microsoft.
In 2003 Dell created its 2nd largest Parts Depot Center in the Caribbean in Bermuda. The Depot's 12,000 computer parts is managed by Dell’s Global Command Center in Austin, TX. Supporting the Depot are trained local technicians ready to help and support individuals and businesses of all size.
In 2015 Bermuda Microsystems opened its first ever retail store combined with its service center at #1 Midsea Lane off of Serpentine Road. At the store, customers can come and see the latest collection of technology on display and talk to the technicians who repair the array of systems and devices people depend on.
Philip formed Bermuda Microsystems Group in 1990 as a Sun Microsystems (Oracle) Partner in Bermuda and the Caribbean. The company's Sun engineers helped support Banks and Telcos in Bermuda, Bahamas and Barbados. The company partnered with Dell and Microsoft and today Dell operates one of its largest spare parts depot (in the Caribbean) directly from Bermuda Microsystems' office in Hamilton. Philip is responsible for the day to day operation of the company.
Damika has 15 plus years of Dell sales experience with corporate and government accounts here in Bermuda. She is consistently among the top Dell regional achievers in the Caribbean and has proven success in implementing and achieving aggressive sales goals. Her enhanced sales knowledge is due to her extensive sales training and hands on experience gained over the years working with Dell. Damika has received several awards from Dell for being Dell's top storage seller in the Caribbean.
Jim is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a VMWare specialist. He is an established information technology professional with 27 years of experience providing technical expertise and leadership to many prominent companies in Bermuda. Jim is one of the leaders in Microsoft migrations and has deployed hundreds of Microsoft Office 365 seats (Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Office) in Bermuda. Jim also works often with clients to implement virtualization for designing new architecture from the ground up using Dell Servers for the ESX hosts and different SANs on the backend.
Alan joined Bermuda Microsystems in 1998 and is our Principal IT Team Leader (Enterprise Technical Support) responsible for performing critical client services for our customers. Alan has become an expert at supporting, installing, and maintaining personal computers, local area networks, server hardware, operating systems, software, and related IT peripherals. Alan is Dell, Lenovo and EMC certified - achieving this through specified grades on examinations. Continued study on new product lines are required in order for Alan to maintain these certifications. Alan has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of network and server/desktop administration, installations, upgrades, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment surrounding all Dell products. He holds the CompTIA A+, DCSE, and EMCCE designation.
Carlito joined Bermuda Microsystems in 2010 as Unix Systems Engineer with 10 plus years Linux/Unix experience. For the past 5 years, Carlito has been delivering solutions as for many local clients in the telecommunications, insurance and finance area. Prior to Bermuda Microsystems Carlito provided 3rd level Oracle/Solaris support for top commercial companies in the telecommunications and banking sectors in Dubai and Philippines. A proactive and hardworking professional Carlito can work without any kind of supervision or as part of a team. Carlito is a qualified Linux and Solaris Engineer and Oracle10 System and Security administrator. Carlito has a Degree in Bachelor of Science in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, is a Solaris (Oracle) Certified Systems Administrator and Network Administrator and a Dell Certified System Engineer.
Trevin has been with Bermuda Microsystems for 4 years and is Dell and Lenovo certified with end-user support process for desktops and laptops (first-call resolution, problem tracking via Dell and Lenovo support teams in USA, and prioritizing work requests). Trevin is responsible for on-site and/or remote installation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktops, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals. Trevin installs, maintains and optimizes desktop /notebook configurations at customer sites. Trevin's passion is football and he is captain of the Somerset Trojans.
Nadia works as Office receptionist and 1st line of contact for inbound sales calls or any service environment for Dell spare parts. Nadia works with all of Bermuda Microsystems' existing and new customers by creating quotes for their computer needs, whether it means a new laptop, desktop, battery, storage device, computer-tune-up or directing them to our web site www.bmg.bm.
Knorisha joined our team in 2009 and supports our pre-sales and order fulfillment team. She also works with UPS Logistics providing "critical order fulfillment"(service parts), returns and technical services (diagnostic, repair, third party vendor management). She assists with delivering orders to all of our customers in Bermuda as well as those that are "walk-in". Knorisha enjoys spending time with her two young children.
